We maintain the N4VEM digipeater and packet node located on the tower at the VEOC.

For handling traffic, VDEM-ARCA’s only currently supported method is via the Winlink system. We typically connect to the system using VARA FM to connect to a local gateway, and regularly test backup methods such as packet on VHF and Pactor & VARA on HF.

At this time, due to the level of coordination required, we do not support P2P messages during an activation. We will, however, do pre-coordinated P2P testing if requested. We are actively experimenting with various modes to broaden our support.
